Japan's Aso apologises on Moritomo issue

Japanese Finance Minister Taro Aso is back on the wires, apologizing for alteration of documents.

According to the ministry’s report, officials at the Finance Ministry’s Financial Bureau doctored the Moritomo papers. The finance ministry admitted Monday that it doctored official papers related to Moritomo land scandal. 

If Aso is forced to resign, it would considerably weaken Abe’s grip on power.
